No More Excuses
In the Master Key Part Ten I can see the old me being described perfectly and its a painful reminder of what used to be true for me.
It describes the ordinary man as thinking chiefly to justify his actions. This seems a little odd at first but then it is described further on in the text and it hits me ‘that was me’.
Anything that I was failing at or finding difficult I would be thinking and justifying why to myself and anyone else who would listen. The timing is wrong, they are not ready, they don’t understand me, etc. We all know these thoughts and they act to console us as they are explanations and excuses as to why we are perfect and everyone else is wrong.
We are instead taught to think our problems through to the end. We understand that every effect is the result of a definite cause and instead of explaining it away we can instead follow the trail of truths down to the bedrock of facts.
This is a more difficult task and requires us to be accountable instead of consoled.
Not everyone will be ready for such thinking but for those that are there is whole world of abundance out there and it is for us all to enjoy. By freeing our minds we can free our spirits to chase our dreams and know all along the way that we can overcome the obstacles with right thinking and will not get bogged down with excuses and self pity. This means we can dream big without fear and enjoy the process.
We have been using substitution with great effect for some time now. It is not possible to hold both good and bad thoughts in mind at the same time. This gives us the option to see a bad thought or opinion coming and substitute it with a positive.
From Part Nine of The Master Key it is said;
- Character is not a thing of chance, but it is the result of continued effort. If you are timid, vacillating, self-conscious, or if you are over-anxious or harassed by thoughts of fear or impending danger, remember that is axiomatic that ‘two things cannot exist in the same place at the same time.’
Taking control of our thoughts will allow us to control our character and this is where we can grow in whatever way we require. Knowing that we are in control is a good start but seeing the new thoughts making a new you is even better. Further on in Part Nine it is said;
- The positive thought will destroy the negative as certainly as light destroys darkness, and the results will be just as effectual.
We have been working on a 7 day mental diet as part of our course within the MKMMA. This is something that anyone can do and it really helps you keep your thoughts in check and become an observer. I can send a link to the 7 Day Diet to anyone who requests it in the comments. I would recommend it to anyone wishing to feel the benefits of challenging our positivity.
One quick note on embarking on a course of substituting thoughts, the payoff is great so it seems reasonable that the effort required will also be great. This is predominantly in the early stages and as time goes on it does become easier and more natural. A good start is to limit the rubbish being thrown at you by those who are addicted to bad news. This will mean shutting down a lot of Facebook and definitely not watching the news on TV or reading the papers. Become the observer and recognise why these sources feed on the negative addictions then you can put them to one side. Definitely don’t get involved in sharing posts which propagate hate, fear and political propaganda otherwise you are part of the problem not the solution.
Week 8 and we are starting to use our subconscious minds so much more. The mental diet is anamazing tool to get us thinking about how we are configuring our subconscious mind. We are being bombarded by radio, TV, friends, family, colleagues, etc. they all have their own agenda and it is rarely aligned with our hearts desire. Being the ‘watchman at the gate’ of our subconscious is allowing us to filter what goes in. So many around us are finding ways to be unhappy, I even saw today a colleague complaining about a flight to a great destination! How many positive great things must they be experiencing and they are finding and sharing negatives?
How Do We Filter?
The law of substitution is a great tool. We can only think of one thing at a time so substitute with a positive. We also have technology available to us too. We can switch people off our newsfeed on Facebook, not watch TV and find things that inspire us to do with our time. It is important that we know what our hearts desire is and then go about following it. As long as it is good for us and takes away from no one else then we are all happy.
Why Should We Filter
Our subconscious is a fertile place and if we can keep it positive then great positives will be manifested in our lives. Have you ever noticed how some people seem to get on in life while others don’t? Some people who are giving and generous seem to receive plenty in return. Some who are fault finding and opinionated seem to have lots of problems following them. By reading and understanding Emerson’s Law Of Compensation you will understand why this is the case. It can be simplified by the phrase ‘Give More, Get More’ and that has been on my office wall for years since I found it.
In my first year this diet made the difference for me. The course took on a whole new meaning once I had this part of the experience under my control. I am looking forward to finding even more out about myself by doing it again.
The diet is quite simple. I am simply going to entertain nothing but positive thoughts for 7 days. If I think of a negative for more than a few seconds then the clock starts again and I embark on a new 7 days.
The Law Of Substitution
This law is going to be by saviour again this year. It is true that if a negative thought starts to form then, if I act quick enough, I can think of a positive instead. Maybe my DMP, a nice experience or anything really that takes my thoughts away from the negative. If I act quick enough then this will solve many potential restarts. I am also finding that smiling overcomes a negative emotion, try it yourself put on a big smile and try to feel sad at the same time.
Why Do This
The growth from this is compounded as we are exercising so many skills.
- We are becoming better observers or ourselves, this has so many benefits in all areas of life. Everyone on this planet would benefit from observing themselves and their actions then taking full responsibility, not finding ways to blame but taking full responsibility.
- We are avoiding situations that lead us to restarting the diet. We all have that person or place that is like a black hole for positivity, do I need to spend time there? If I do then I will go in with a smile, substitutions ready and get out as quick as I can.
- We are creating for ourselves a positive fertile mind. This will enable us to grow and become self directed thinkers in a positive direction. Realising our goals and enjoying the journey. Repeating positive quotes and reading positive books are good but creating a positive mind will have more impact on us. We live in our head 24 hours a day so a few minutes of positivity followed by hours of average will not produce anything other than average results.
Well I started last night with no problems. This morning I had to restart after the alarm clock went off. I also had to restart getting my son off to school as we were running late. Loading up the PC has made a restart too as it was doing what PC’s do and testing me. I thought after doing this previous years it would be easy. It is going to be a test again but I’m ready and the rest of today will be fine. I have substitutions ready and I find it easy to smile.
I am the observer of my life, I control my actions and the realisation of my DMP is more important than being a comfortable average. I do the work, achieve my dreams and positively change many peoples lives in the process.
We All Have Them
We all have opinions, well that is my opinion anyway. We are becoming better at observing ourselves through this course and finding out how opinionated we are is an eye opener. We are trying to leave our opinions out from last week and while it is a challenge it is also revealing. I am finding it relatively easy to stop myself voicing an opinion but those in my head are difficult to get away from.
Well I have found that by not voicing opinions I am able to listen more. This is having a positive impact on my work and family life. I’m still letting the odd one slip through but on the whole I am stopping them and sometimes not joining in on certain conversations. By repeating an opinion I would be restating what I already know but by listening I may learn something new. This is big for me and it helps in building relationships especially in business. By becoming the observer of my words I am gaining more control of my conscious thoughts and in turn what the subconscious is exposed to.
Control Of Thoughts
This is the challenge and I remember last year I failed to fully get this one mastered. I will persevere until I succeed and I know that the effort will be rewarded. Everything else in the MKE course is well worth the effort so I have no reason the expect that this will not.
The words in my head are forming opinions that are being let through to the subconscious. I will be a good watchman at the gate, I will form good habits and they will be my friend.
Now The Fun Begins
We are writing our press releases this week and I cannot wait to read those written by the new guys on the course. I have mine available to read on the tab at the top of this blog. Since writing mine it became so much easier to visualise what my future would look like. It is great fun putting these images into words in the form of a press release as we can let our imaginations run wild with details and content.
Why Do This?
This is one of the tools that we are using to end procrastination. Every time I see what the future is going to look like it becomes more real. I’m reading the DMP, I’m reading the press release and imprinting my mind with a clear vision of what we are going to achieve. We are noticing shapes and linking them to our PPN’s, we are essentially pushing this in from all angles and giving ourselves no room for excuses. The days of procrastination are now well and truly over. Let the fun begin!
Addicted To Peptides
I am addicted to peptides.
There it is, out there for all to see. I have been through the Master Keys course already, seen the studies and read the evidence and I’m glad to say that it’s not a bad addiction! We are all getting our fix from different experiences and the video below explains it very well.
It is great to know that we can change ourselves and with that our outcomes. That feeling of being in control means that we can choose our feelings and with practice loose the bits of our identity that do not serve us. It explains what is going on when you see someone seemingly choose a life of failure when you know that they are capable of more.
Can I Change?
Well in short, Yes I can and more importantly I am. It is not easy but few things worthwhile are easy. I am an observer of my actions and my thinking, I am making a difference. Whether you believe what is said in the video or not you can’t argue with the fact that something is making us all different. Maybe that something can be controlled and if so then why not start today.
Whether it’s peptides or something else by knowing that I am improving I am feeling in control and that in itself is making my life more enjoyable. I am not here to simply exist for a few years then slip away quietly never straying too far from the herd!
Finding My Personal Pivotal Needs
This time 3 years ago I had to discover what my Pivotal Needs were and I was amazed at the result. We don’t often get asked what our needs are in our day to day life. As they are personal to us it is really for us to find them ourselves but we don’t know to start looking. By wording my DMP (Definite Major Purpose) around my pivotal needs it becomes so much more. It is as if it takes on a whole new meaning and I feel passion for it.
If you could write a DMP and feel a passion for it how do you think that would feel? Would it become more important to achieve it than make excuses? Would you put the pity party’s on hold and get to work on what drives you?
Thankfully my guide helped me discover what my needs were. She did this by asking questions and asking me to expand on areas of the DMP. By reading my DMP 3 times a day and thinking about what my guide had asked I eventually decided that my PPN’s were wrong and quickly changed one of them. I’m so glad that my guide didn’t tell me to change them as by letting me discover it I learnt so much more about myself.
I have decided that Liberty and True Health are what drives me. That is not to say that they are the only things but by fulfilling these then I become so much more in all areas of my life.
This is my need to have all I need to live as I wish. I have felt constrained by a lack of money and time in the past so putting that behind me is a driving factor. My wife and I have made so many changes already to gain liberty and we are enjoying the process. I have so much to give and with liberty comes a freedom to express myself and share all I can. As you can see it is more than fast cars and big houses for me but for you it will mean something different and that is ok.
I have a strong desire to be truly healthy. This is more about the mind than the body or spirit for me but for you it could be different. I see how my mind has created all that I am and have today, I am exactly where I really want to be. Once we believe this then we have the power to change and adjust that which we need to. We are all exactly where we really want to be whether we admit it or not! I have an exercise plan and spiritual connections that I’m making as true health encompasses them all. By doing so I feel that my DMP is taking me to a place where I have the true health I desire.
