Can you make yourself happy?
I believe you can make yourself happy and I am strongly urging you to give it a try. Let us first consider why some people appear happier than others. We are seeing what they are projecting with their expressions, voice or actions. We are thinking they are happy based on this without giving much thought as to why initially. I know that we can all act, sound and look happy even at the worst of times so lets give it a try now. Just put a smile on your face walk with a purpose and say something pleasant to the next person you meet. I know that that made you feel good because it did for me when I did it too. We all know that the opposite is true too as we have experienced that before too. I have found that by acting happy we can attract happiness.
Make a list.
List just 20 things that pleased you recently. This could be a good experience or an act of kindness. Examples of both giving and receiving are good. I use index cards for this as I can put one thing on each card and shuffle them, read them and add to them easily. I am presuming that you have just done this and can see the benefit immediately of just writing them down. Imagine how you will feel reviewing them and adding to them! What a great resource this pile of index cards will become to you in the future because you will add to it and make it your own.
There are many techniques we can employ to improve our lives. I found them by getting a scholarship to the MKMMA course and completing the 6 month course. The next course starts at the end of September so now would be a good time to get on the early notification list. Just hop on the list by through this link http://authenticdharma.com/master-key-experience and I will send you the link to the first video when they are about to launch.
What have we seen?
There has been a lot of talk after the Brexit result was announced. A lot of negativity from both camps too which is to be expected after such a campaign. What happens next is whare we find how great our country is.
The most revealing part of all this is how much people have attached their emotion to the result. I have seen it said that the result has made life worth living again for some or life unbearable for others. A lot of people needed to win this argument to justify themselves which is showing more than they expected to reveal.
Where are we now?
The dust is beginning to settle and life is actually still ok. The stock market didn’t like the shock but recovered and nothing much will change in the short term. A few people have said some things they regret and can now reflect on what they revealed about their inner voice.
I am noticing that those who are keeping their cool are those who have a greater mission in life. An authentic dharma has given them an inner peace. Knowing where you are heading and what you are doing to achieve this gives a good perspective. External factors have become less relevent as you are inner directed.
Many of us are parents and have an opportunty to learn from this and pass it on to the next generation. If we start crying foul and dismissing the views of those who voted out then we send a much bigger message to our kids than we intend. If we use this as an opportunity to show that life can be a success if we choose it to be a success then the learning will be more beneficial. It is never too late to find your purpose in life and start progressing towards it.
For some the process has given them a purpose. They have found a burning desire in politics and maybe this is the start of a new lifelong ambition. I don’t mean sharing questionable statistics on Facebook or quoting other people. Some people have shown great understanding of democracy and their part in it, for them a new future may await? I am involved in a small way in local politics and can see a clear route for anyone wishing to become more involved.
Where is our future?
The future will be full of opportunity and difficulty whatever happens regarding our exit from the EU. Those of us who are ready for this and know what we want will have more opportunity to do well. Those who are letting their future happiness be decided for them will miss out.
There is a bright future for self directed thinkers and always will be.
Can it be true that after 7 days you will notice a new you?
I am grateful that it is possible to change a whole future by taking a 7 day challenge. It will last a lifetime if you allow it but you are welcome to just experience it for 7 days if you prefer.
There is a document available below as a free gift from me which will guide you on this journey. It is only a short read, which is good as you will want to re-read it I’m sure! Just enter your name and where you want the document emailed to and I will do the rest. I will even send you a couple of helpful messages as you take the journey.
I know what you are thinking, ‘Ok so I try this but what about the other people I share my time with, wont they still be negative and bring me down?’ Well this is all explained in the free document, nothing else is needed. I’m not giving you a taster then asking for money if you want the real thing, you will have all you need to complete the task and embark on a changed course.
It’s truly remarkable that you will definitely not be the same after this! I’m not saying that you will become a superstar in your business but you will have made a step towards a brighter future and by taking more steps you may even achieve your own authentic dharma but this will be a good place to start.
PS. I would love to hear your progress in the comments section!
Do we really have a freedom to choose?
I have found that in most areas we do have this freedom and utilising it can be a fantastic feeling. I’m not suggesting that we all have 100% freedom over all of our choices but we can go a lot further than we may initially believe.
Stephen Covey writes fantastically about this topic and it fits perfectly with what we learn on the Master Keys course.
There is a gap between the stimulus and response and that is where we have our freedom to choose. We will make most of these choices without much conscious thought but at some stage we will have programmed our subconscious to make those choices.
If we can take a step back and become the observer of ourselves then it becomes apparent and the frightening reality is that it’s all us, no where to hide. The blame game becomes a thing of the past which for some can be enlightening but for those not ready to take control can be the worst thing ever.
Imagine that you have a negative disposition, I should know as I have worked through this one. You get a stimulus in the form of a piece of advice from someone and your response is of suspicion or you find yourself thinking of ways to discredit the person or their advice. Why would I choose that response? I believed it was because I had been let down too many times before or that I knew everything on the subject or that no one gives advice impartially. I had a negative sound track in my mind and every response had to be filtered through it. I believed it was out of my hands but then I find that I have freedom to choose differently and my whole reality moves. If I can find my freedom to choose differently then I can apply the same logic to my responses to other stimuli and suddenly find my whole reality shifting in a direction of my choosing.
I challenge everyone reading this far to read the follow quote from R.D Laing, a Scottish Psychiatrist, not just once but twice with a few moments between reading to ponder what this can do for us.
The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds.
When faced with the choice of being right or wealthy I would have presumed that I would always choose wealthy. It seems that is the obvious choice and by wealthy I am thinking of more than just money! For me wealth is about my life as a whole and having time to enjoy the people and the circumstances that leading a wealthy life attract.
When I first started examining what I was doing it became apparent that I was making decisions to support what I believed already. I was reinforcing my belief that I was right by making everything fit with the model I had in my head and missing anything which went against my current belief. What a revelation this was!
Through my time spent on Mark J’s MKMMA course I have examned the choices I’m making and becoming an observer of my actions and thoughts. It is eye opening stuff and there is nowhere to hide as it’s all you and your creation, no hiding behind excuses!
I now have the pleasure of living with this and feeling in control of what I create, both good and bad. I have a link on here to opt into my list so that I can share this course when it launches again in September. Feel free to join as I would love to share the opportunity with like minded people.
It is true that we become what we think about most. I don’t know of anyone who disputes this claim and it has been written about so much over many decades.
What does this mean for us who are living an average life with not much excitement? Have we missed something when growing up?
I have found by reading biographies of succesful people that they all have had a belief and a desire at some stage in their life, often quite early on, that they would accomplish more. They have then gone on to find a way and become succesful. I am sure that when they were on this journey they shared the path with others who fell away to a mediocre life leaving the path to those who had something in them that was going to be the ‘key’ to success.
The ‘key’ to the door of success would then be the difference and if we could find it and understand how to use it we too could be a success.
I have found that it comes back to us becoming what we think about the most. Which is led by many things including who we spend time with, whose opinions we listen to, what books we read, etc.
The person we spend most time with is us. For some people this can be a very good thing, for others not so good. The little voice in our head that makes all of our decisions by creating a feeling before we consciously make the decision. If we could get this little voice (our subconscious) working towards our desired outcome then that would be the ‘key’.
Test your subconscious now, think of your dream or major goal. What is the first thought or feeling that creates? If it is of self-doubt or you have managed to find all the reasons that you may not achieve it then you need to fix that. If your thoughts are of excitement and feelings as if you are there already then you have found they key to success already. With a subconcious on our side we will find the ways to achieve instead of the excuses not to. We will enjoy the journey and attract the right people and circumstances our way. We will become what we think about.
